Jacob Romero Gibson said he was “struggling to find the words” after being cast to play Ussop.
On November 2021, the actor took to his Instagram page to showcase his overwhelming emotion.
One Piece is slated for release in 2023 and is based on the popular Japanese manga of the same name.

Gibson has long been confirmed to play Usopp –”The sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates” in the upcoming adaptation.
Following the news, the actor shared a picture of the animated character on his Instagram and wrote a long heartfelt caption.

Struggling to find the words for a moment as momentous as this. But all comes in time. For now and always it begins and ends with gratitude
Gibson wrote in his post.
The aspiring entertainer has expressed his eagerness to bring the character and story to justice in the live-action adaption.
He said becoming a member of Netflix’s One Piece is the most significant honour of his life.

One Piece fandom went frenzy as a result of the actor’s Instagram post.
Later, Gibson’s account was flooded with congratulatory messages from his many fans and well-wishers.
In return, the actor thanked his admirers for their unwavering support and encouragement.

In his writing, Gibson praised the live-action series’ cast and crew, calling them “perfect,” and stated that he “cannot wait to bring it to life.”
Who Is Jacob Romero Gibson?
The Los Angeles native was born in 1996 in a multi-ethnic family.
He has African, Latino/Hispanic, South Asian/Indian/Southeast Asian roots.
Gibson is a California Institute of Arts graduate.
He attended a Valencia, California-based college between 2011 and 2014.
So far, his working credits include theatres, movies, music, voiceover work and performing arts.
Per Backstage, Gibson was part of the theatrical show Life Of Bob, where he played the late reggae legend, Bob Marley.
The multi-faceted actor became popular after acting in the 2020 play The Carolyn Bryant project.

His film career started in 2016 after he was given the role of Jake in a short film titled Perceptions of Superheroes.
Gibson made his full acting debut in the 2018 season of Fox’s medical drama The Resident.
Later, he appeared in one of the episodes of the CBS legal drama All Rise.
However, he gathered wider attention with his work in ‘It’s Raining Men’, a 2019’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Thereafter, Gibson played the role of AJ Delajae in the last two seasons of the series Greenleaf.
