Olivia Colman Stalked Husband Ed Sinclair Prior to Marrying Him

In April 2021 Olivia Colman revealed how she met her husband Ed Sinclair.

The English actress, during her chat with National Theatre, took her time out speaking about her husband.

Per Colman, she met her now-better half Sinclair while performing in Floodlights production Table Manners.

In her words, Sinclair was someone she “fancied” to be in a relationship with.

Further, Colman joked about how her dream turned out to be true as Sinclair eventually became her husband.

Deep in the conversation, the Norwich-born actress confessed to stalking Sinclair before the start of their relationship.

Colman also didn’t hesitate from explaining the details as to how she kept a continuous eye on her then-crush.

She said she stalked Sinclair for around six weeks with greater ambition.

During her stalking period, The Favorite star memorized her spouse’s timetable including his three-hour-long dressing time.

Her commitment was so great she even forked out Sinclair’s musical taste and learned all the songs he loved dearly.

Interviewer Rugus Norris, upon learning about Colman’s efforts, eagerly questioned her commitment in a positive light.

Colman, in her response, humorously remarked saying she was more committed toward Sinclair than she had ever been in her acting jobs.

Ed Sinclair Was Initially Unaware of Olivia Colman’s Efforts

Actress Colman, at a point in her exchange with Norris, was asked whether her husband was aware of her endeavour.

“Very slow for a bright boy,” she remarked Sinclair saying he did not have had any knowledge of her doings.

While she continuously followed his every move, her efforts did not come to fruition without the assistance of someone close to Sinclair.

Colman, in order to cement her relationship status with her current spouse, reached out to one of his friends asking if he could tell Sinclair that she loved him.

The trick worked as Sinclair’s unnamed friend explained him everything regarding her love interest.

In her recollections, this was how Colman and Sinclair’s love life kick-started.

Prior to their 2001 nuptials, the couple attended the same drama school after Colman asked her then-husband-to-be to “run off” with her.

Sinclair, initially, was a law student, however, per Colman, he had no interest in continuing his education by studying law.

Therefore, the pair got enrolled in Bristol Old Vic to further their education in drama and literary arts.

Their efforts yielded results after the couple graduated from Old Vic, considered the oldest continually working English-speaking theatre in the world.

Colman, her husband Sinclair and their three children presently live in South London.

The couple is parents to two sons and a daughter.

Fin Sinclair is their first born while Hall Sinclair is the wife and husband’s youngest son.

Likewise, the pair also share a daughter, their last born, who took birth in 2015.

Unfortunately, concrete details including her name are not yet known in public.

Colman became a mother for the third time while she was busy filming the 2016’s television drama The Night Manager.

The film star and her husband have, thus far, kept their children out of the spotlight.

Talking to Vogue in 2015, the Brit expressed she finds it “weird” when people out of her knowledge stare at her publicly.

Colman further said she believed that her private family life provide her with a perfect refuge from the outer world.
